TauRx Therapeutics Pte Ltd is a University of
Aberdeen spin out developing compounds active against the tau protein
tangles of Alzheimer's Disease (press
release Sept 04).
Controlled
Therapeutics (Scotland) is based in East Kilbride,
Scotland specialising in the development, manufacture and licensing of
pharmaceutical products in their fascinating patented
drug delivery technologies. I manage the clinical group. Fourth Hurdle
Consulting Ltd is a CRO specialising in health economics
based in London. I was involved in the day to day management of an
observational trial carried out in General Practice and co-ordinated the CRA
activities. Weston Medical
Ltd was based in Cambridge and was developing needle-free injection
technology for liquid injectate. With Pleiad Ltd, I devised an appropriate
trial, selected CROs for the various aspects of the work and managed the
project, which completed on budget, on schedule in October 2002. Strakan
Pharmaceuticals Ltd is a pharmaceutical company based in
Galashiels for whom my company took on two complete clinical trial
projects from protocol development through to final clinical report. As well
as managing the project and budget, I also identified, hired and managed the
sub-contractors. I have also provided staff training. PharmaPart
(UK) Ltd is a small CRO based in Stirling with a parent organisation
near Zurich, Switzerland. I was involved in development of their clinical
services, providing consultancy and advice.
Bioforce
UK Ltd is a company based in Irvine, Scotland specialising in herbal
preparations and herbal medicines. I have been advising on the planning and
conduct of clinical trials. I also monitor the studies they carry out. Laxdale
Ltd is a small biotech company in Stirling, Scotland developing
novel treatments for psychiatric indications . I assisted them with the
development of their SOPs and provide expert GCP review of regulatory
documents.
